Latin Lawyer‘s Deal Tracker data shows that three partners from Brazilian Elite firm Mattos Filho worked on the most M&A deals in the first half of 2025, while rainmakers from rival outfits in Brazil, Mexico and Chile were hot on their heels.
Mattos Filho partner Eduardo Marques Souza worked on the most M&A deals in the region during the first half of the year, with 11 deals under his belt. Paula Camara Baptista De Oliveira and Giovani Loss, also from Mattos Filho, ranked second and third, respectively.
Brazilian talent crowded the top of the table, with partners from Lefosse, Tauil & Chequer Advogados in association with Mayer Brown, Madrona Advogados and Demarest Advogados all occupying the top 10 slots for the busiest M&A partners in the region.
