José Barreto Netto has a solid reputation in the Brazilian legal market, standing out for his broad experience in banking law, capital markets, and corporate law. Recognized for leading highly complex and strategically relevant transactions, Barreto combines an entrepreneurial vision with technical expertise, serving as a reference in sophisticated and innovative transactions. 

 

His practice covers traditional financial products and disruptive structures involving fintechs and payment institutions. Barreto has a strong presence in transactions involving investment funds, securitization, M&A, and corporate restructuring. 

 

Among his main professional milestones is his participation in pioneering transactions, such as structuring the first Receivables Investment Fund (FIDC) in Brazil. He was also responsible for developing the first “built-to-suit” lease Real Estate Receivables Certificate (CRI), an initiative that revolutionized the real estate sector’s access to the national capital markets.
